Hello. I'm Mike Casebolt, a designer and illustrator specializing in web, print, and branding. I'm always looking for new adventures and opportunities with folks that are excited about creating something bold and daring.
Over the years, I've been able to work on branding and identity projects for small and large clients. Here's a collect of some of my favorite pieces.
For the Full Circle Identity check out the motion piece Miguel Reyes animated.
Full Sail's Hall of Fame Week is the largest event of the year. Six graduates are selected to be inducted, which gives the opportunity for students to learn from their industry experience. While creating the branding for this event, I was tasked with making stylized silhouettes, color schemes, and creating the logo. Once this was created I was able to translate the style of the motion graphic builds into the booklet design. The branding ultimately consisted of buttons, badges, shirts, posters, online materials, building banners, set design, and stage lighting.
This wedding is taking place in the mountains of North Carolina and the main theme of their ceremony is dancing, nature, and overall fun. The print specs for this invitation are French Madero Beach paper, screen printed two colors on the front and three colors inside, die cut, folded, and wrapped with colored string tying into a wooden button.
The opportunity I had to illustrate an event poster for Johnny Cupcakes is one that I am most proud of. Having been a big fan of the brand leading up to this, it was great to get to meet Johnny Cupcakes and Clark Orr, and to receive great feedback about the poster.
While creating mine and Ashley's invitations, we wanted to keep it simple and to the point. I hand screen printed the invitations using French Paper Speckletone Natural, one color on the front and two colors on the back.
While working on this project I created illustrations and icons to represent the different degree halos. These designs were promotional materials on stickers and also badges on Facebook for social marketing purposes.
This was a print advertisement for Winnie Palmer Hospital looking to raise money on Mother's Day. I created custom type for the headline while making a floral border that was clean and elegant.
This is an editorial news and event paper going over anything related to full sail and its graduates. The first illustration I created is a simple representation of Thor's Hammer, while using the typeface from the movie. The Second Illustration was for The Sketchbook Project that travels around the US with submitted artists' sketchbooks from around the world.
This postcard was created using the credits of graduates without having the rights to use actual logos. Having to work around this, made the piece more iconic and cohesive.
While working at Platinum Creative we run in the Orlando Corporate 5K and have fun creating a shirt to represent the department. The first illustration plays off of our unofficial mascot the Platinum Platypus. We wanted to have fun with the character by making the platypus ripped and doing something he shouldn't do, like running with scissors. The second shirt plays off the aviation theme that we have at Full Sail with a vintage look.
Citrus Water sells equipment to clean and soften water in the Central Florida area. They needed a website created because at the time they didn't have an online presences to connect with customers. My role in this project was designing, illustrating custom icons, front end development, and managing over the rest of the project for implementation of wordpress and javascript functionality. Visit Citrus Water
This was an online campaign created to break down the different areas of gaming degrees. The idea behind the campaign was to treat each section like it was it's own group. I made an overall crest representing "Gamer University" and used iconic imagery in gaming for art, code, and design.

Launch is a unique lifestyle piece about Full Sail and the Central Florida area. We wanted to approach this project as a true representation of student life on campus, by giving students cameras and allowing submissions of their own photos. My roll was illustrations, photography, paper, and packaging development.

Since graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor's in Art & Design, I've honed my professional skills as a Designer at Platinum Creative, the in-house agency for Full Sail University. During my time there, I have strived to both maintain and expand the integrity of the company brand through online & print campaigns, web design, branding, and illustrations.
I've also kept busy with freelance work for non-profit organizations, wedding invites, web design, and more. When I'm not doodling in my sketch book or pushing pixels on screen, I enjoy spending time with my wife Ashley and Baxter, our obnoxious Scottie. I grab inspiration from antique show finds, vinyl records, World War II-era photos, and random objects I can reimagine, like this Disney ashtray I use for my pencil shavings. I'm also an avid local community gardener, and do my best to support the local food effort as much as I can.
