Mike Casebolt is a design lead working across brand systems, creative tooling, illustration, and risograph printing in Boulder, Colorado. He has led teams of designers, animators, and writers, runs his own design studio, and has built systems for digital products.

He got his start designing for his band and his friends’ bands—posters, album art, and merch. Music led him to brand building, which led him to digital products.

He works at the intersection of product and brand, building systems that scale. In the Google ecosystem, that meant creating icon and illustration systems spanning Assistant, Home, News, and Search. Elsewhere, his work has included identity systems, visual design systems, and custom suit-building apps. Today, he is Head of Brand Design at Mixpanel, where he led the company’s rebrand and grew a talented team of designers, animators, and writers.

Outside of work, he is raising a family, fly-fishing, running a risograph studio, going to shows, and making music.
