Knot Standard
Seeing the suit before it existed.

Overview
Knot Standard is a custom menswear company that sources distinctive fabrics from around the world. As they expanded into Bloomingdale's pop-up showrooms, they needed a digital way for customers to design a custom suit alongside an in-store advisor.

The Challenge
Fabric inventory changed constantly, which made physical swatch books expensive to maintain and perpetually out of date. And a custom suit involves a long chain of decisions most customers have never made before, with no way to see the result until it arrived.
The answer was an advisor-led iPad experience — explore fabrics, customize details, and preview the suit in real time before ordering.

The Opportunity
Transform a complex tailoring process into a visual, approachable experience—without replacing the expertise of the showroom advisor.
The application needed to help customers understand their options while giving advisors a consistent tool for moving from inspiration to a completed order.

Role
UX and Lead Designer on the iPad app, working on a small team alongside engineering and the client. Three weeks from proof of concept to developer handoff, including all key interactions.
The 3D suit model was built by an outside partner — I designed the experience around it.
Outcomes
Made a changing fabric inventory easier to explore.
Simplified a complex customization process into a guided experience.
Helped customers visualize their choices before purchasing.
Connected the showroom consultation directly to ordering and fulfillment.
